League Leader Punjab Police today met Dalbir Football Academy in round-III home game in the ongoing 28th JCT Punjab State Super Football League 2014-2015 in PAP Football Ground at Jalandhar. Punjab Police corp was full of experienced players like Sumit Bali, Shiraz Hassan, Harjinder, Sukhjit Singh, Gurtej etc. whereas the young land from Dalbir Football Academy have slight physical fitness advantage over their league rival Punjab Police. Both the teams entered the field with great zeal, Punjab Police having come up with two wins from their previous games whereas Dalbir Football Academy has two drawn games previously. Thus both teams have shown their hunger in search of first goal of the game. Despite being their best efforts in first half both teams could not capitalize the opportunities those came their way. Pawandeep’s powerful grounded shot hit the post and narrowly escaped the produce opener goal of the game in 38th minute.
After barren first half, both teams started creating their brilliant moves in search of the goals, but all in vain. However, 71st minute of the game saw Dalbir Football Academy skipper Narinder Kumar Jsy No.7 netted home opener goal of the game when he received a well measured pass from Sajandeep Singh. The equalizer of the game came in 85thminute when Harpreet Singh Jsy No.22 netted past superb goal for home team. After equalizing game, Punjab Police Corp tried to surge ahead but the poor shots taken by Punjab Police players upfront let them down and they could not produce the winner. At the end both teams have shared one point each. Tomorrow, BSF takes on lurking PSPCL at BSF Home Ground at Jalandhar, whereas United Punjab Football Club takes on spirited JCT Football Academy in the remaining Round-III games.
