Lurking PSPCL suffered another 3-1 setback in 28th JCT Punjab State Super Football League at the hands of in form Dalbir Football Academy in Round VII match played at super natural turf at JCT Sports Complex, Chohal being neutral venue for both the teams. This match was shifted from Guru Gobind Singh Stadium, Jalandahr to JCT Sports Complex, Chohal in view of the BSNL League to be commenced on 14th September there. The match started with Dalbir Football Academy lads initiated certain brilliant moves through its star performer Sajandeep. The result for good footwork of the young outfit came in 32nd minute when Santosh Kumar Jsy No.13 slot home first goal of the game for Dalbir FA. Having suffered this setback, PSPCL team lead by Gurpreet Singh upfront tried to create some magic, as other PSPCL players could not combine well with Gurpreet to produce some effective result. However, 41st minute of the game saw PSPCL got a penalty for Dalbir FA’s Amarwant handling ball in danger zone, which Sunil Kumar Jsy No.14 came in to score equalizer of the game in 42nd minute. Thus till half time both teams were on equal score 1-1.
After lemon break, both team entered the field with great zeal and tried to show supremacy over each other in their continuous moves and counter attacks. However, the day was reserved for Dalbir Football Academy to register first win in Super League. 56th minute of the game saw Narinder Kumar Jsy No.7 scored a brilliant goal after dozing past PSPCL defender to surge ahead Dalbir FA when he took well measured pass from his teammate. Gurpreet and party came close to score in 67th minute but poor finishes upfront let them down. 83rd minute of the game saw Prabhpal Singh Jsy No.8 scoring another goal to seal the game in favour of Dalbir Football Academy with 3-1 margin. This is first and emphatic win for Dalbir Football Academy. Tomorrow’s encounter foresee JCT takes on defending Champion RCF in JCT Sports Complex, Chohal at 4.00 PM kick off time in 28th JCT Punjab State Super Football League.
