JCT young lads played Round-VII game against defending champion RCF in 28th JCT Punjab State Super Football League 2014-2015 at JCT Sports Complex, Chohal (Hoshiarpur). JCT showed good footballing stuff in today’s moves and it struck another stunning victory over defending champion RCF with 2-0 margin. This is the third consecutive win of JCT Academy in five outings so far which includes one drawn game and one loss as well. On the other hand, RCF having drawn their last game against league leader Punjab Police, created couple of scoring opportunity, but poor finishes upfront let them down in today’s game. First half game was evenly poised by both teams having missed scoring opportunities those came in both teams’ way.
After lemon break, JCT showed its supremacy over defending champion and created certain brilliant moves in raiding the danger zone of the opponent. JCT’s Manvir come first to score opener goal of the game in 59th minute when he dribble past RCF defenders and nicely placed in first goal of the game which showed his brilliance in game. Having suffered this debacle RCF started creating effective moves, but alert JCT defense nullified all their moves in mid way to deny any scoring moment. At the time of changing ends, the game started hotly contested by both the teams and some foul play was also exhibited by both sides for which Arshdeep & Rajbir from JCT and Gurpreet & Kamardeep from RCF were cautioned by the match referee. In dying minutes of the game, JCT again combined well Manvir who was the real hero of this match dozed past RCF defense and supplied a well measured pass to his companion Rajbir who netted home second goal of the game in 90+9 minute of the game to seal the match 2-0 in favour of JCT. With this win JCT accumulated 10 points from five outings in Super League so far and continued retain its 3rd spot in league table. Now JCT takes on Dalbir Football Academy for postponed game which is rescheduled to be held on 19th September, 2014 in JCT Sports Complex, Chohal.
