Mahilpur based Professional outfit United Punjab FC prevailed upon Dalbir Football Academy by a solitary goal win in the postponed Round IV game of the ongoing 28th JCT Punjab State Super Football League 2014-2015, which was held at Punjabi University Campus, Patiala. First half game was evenly contested between two teams United Punjab having upper hand on the host in regard to creative moves. 22nd minute of the game saw United Punjab missed a clear cut scoring change when Kamaldeep Singh Jsry No.20 gave well measured pass to Parveen Kumar Jsy No.10 who after beating Dalbir FA’s custodian took a forceful shot but his shot hit the bar and went out. However Dalbir Football Academy came close to score opener of the game in 43rd minute, but Prabhjot Jsy No.9 have missed a clear cut scoring opportunity when he took shot on rebound from UPFC custodian, but his shot went wide causing no harm to UPFC.
After barren first half both teams entered the filed with new strategic plans which were evident from their early second half moves, but United Punjab having some professional stuff were dominating the game. The result of the match came UPFC way when Harminder Singh Jsy No.9 takes a well measured cross from near left flank on which Jaspreet who come all along in line to shot home fine header and scored opener goal of the game in 78th minute of the game. This was real debacle for Dalbir FA which was performing super fine in defense area right from the start of this match. But Dalbir FA didn’t stumble its breath and continued with effective footwork, but it was too late to catch the flight and match ended UPFC having come up with solitary goal win.
