JCT thrashed PSPCL 2-0 in round VIII game played today in Guru Gobind Singh Stadium, Jalandhar. First half game was mix of juncture form both sides JCT was seen with better ball possession and creating more scoring opportunities. 12th minute of the game saw JCT missed scoring opportunity when Sukhwinder supplied a thorough ball to Manvir upfront which he shot wide and wasted this scoring opportunity. Thereafter JCT again combined well initiated certain good moves and continuously raided the danger area of PSPCL, but all fertile moves from JCT lads could not be proved fruitful as no one can open the jinx and till half time score line was 0-0 in favour of both teams.
After barren first half, both teams entered the field with great zeal and JCT come up with super strategic plans in its move and 47th minute of the game saw Manvir opened the jinx by scoring first goal of the game which was an accurate assist by Shamsher. After scoring this goal JCT again started dominating the proceedings in its favour and lurking PSPCL could hardly came out to tackle and nullify effective moves from JCT lads. 55th minute of the game saw Manvir scoring his second goal of the game on a thorough ball from Shamsher. Thereafter duo medio of JCT Shamsher and Sukhwinder combined well with winger Jot Masih to move continuous effective moves on which Rajbir and Manvir tried to take superb shots on PSPCL den, but those shots narrowly escaped from harming PSPCL posts. At the changing ends, JCT again pressed it hard to create more scoring opportunities. With this win JCT moved to 2nd spot on league table in seven outings.
Now CRPF takes on United Punjab FC for the postponed game of Round-V in Sri Guru Gobind Singh Stadium, Jalandahr on 23rd September, 2014 with kick off time 4.00 P.M.
