12th round encounter of 28th JCT Punjab State Super Football League 2014-2015 was held between BSF and RCF in Guru Gobind Singh Stadium, Jalandhar. Both teams started the match proceeding off an offensive note and started creating effective moves to open the jinx for their respective teams. But initial minutes of game saw Balraj Singh and Mukhwinderjit Singh denying the opponents to score any goal. In 24th minute of the game Vishal Kumar was the guilty party from BSF corps to conceive penalty against BSF when he intentionally handled the ball which was just going inside BSF post. Thus match referee besides giving Vishal marching order has also awarded penalty in favour of RCF, which Gurpreet Singh from RCF came in to score and he took an accurate shot on BSF den which Balraj Singh could not save and RCF surge ahead in the match and till half-time score line was 0-1 in favour of RCF.
After lemon break, BSF combined well with their 10-men brigade and started making superb moves in search of equalizer and they succeeded in doing so when Kamal Kishore initiated a good footwork in goal area which saw Henry taking shot on rebound and when his shot was saved by RCF defender, but PB Ekka took full advantage of his failure to clear the ball and shot home equalizer of the game in 47th minute of the game. Thereafter Pawan Kumar Tiwari again came close to score twice but his poor finishing upfront could not earn more points for BSF. On the other hand Ajay Kumar and Jagtar Singh created couple of scoring opportunities for RCF, but alert BSF custodian came up with super saves and even defense of BSF outplayed RCF striking zone to make any harm. The match ended in 1-1 draw. Thus both the teams had to content with one point each at the end of day.
The another match of 28th JCT Punjab State Super Football League was held at Chohal (Hoshiarpur) between Punjab Police and Punjab State Power Corporation Limited in which Punjab Police was seen in super action by scoring an emphatic win over below line team PSPCL. Jaswinder Singh scored first goal of the game in 8th minute of the game and rest of the first half game PSPCL were busy in making certain saves from the in-form Punjab Police corps. Again same was the story in second sessions, Punjab Police took the command of the game in their hands and started making certain fertile moves in their favour and 48th minute of the game saw medio Harjinder Singh doubled the lead by scoring second goal of the game. Whereas 3rd goal of the game was scored by Gurtej Singh in 65th minute of the game to seal the match for Punjab Police and thus with this win Punjab Police regain its first spot on league table with 23 points from 12 outings.
Tomorrow the 11th Ocotber, 2014 Super League action goes to Malerkotla, where JCT Football Academy takes on Dalbir Football Academy at Yakir Hussain Stadium, Malerkotla, which is a densely football populated area.
